Once upon a time,
Hung a magical garment,
A garment with the power of joy,
Of excitement and curiousity,
A garment made of tulle.
Hey all, it's Mummy A again with four-month-old Squishels. We're here to discuss a great new discovery- a toy for on the go!
Last Christmas, when Squishels was only about 3 months old, we started getting great interest in materials. To begin with they were just abstract pieces of cloth collected over time, but Christmas came around and it was time to wear a dress- a fluffy, frilly dress with lots of tulle to make the skirt. Oh my, the excitement and glee of Squishels when she worked out she could play with that material, feel it with her hands, her feet and her mouth, hold it to comfort, scrunch it, ruffle it, chew it.
I just knew I had to buy her another dress when she grew out of that size! And so, a new routine grew- go up a size, buy another dress with tulle for Squishels to play with. The last dress I bought had special significance- it also had a flower sewn onto the chest for her to somehow chew on, and had the tulle skirt Squishels had become used to being distracted by during nappy changes.
So, before you head out to buy a brand new toy for your little one's curiosity, think about doubling up that purchase- clothes and a sensory toy to play with and distract with, all in one? Bargain!
